Moving Forward

This has been an awesome couple of months. My OPI and WPT scores are more than good enough to teach Spanish in any of the 50 states (Advanced Mid on both if you were wondering). My student teaching assignment came and we are moving to Las Vegas after I finish school in July (I'm visiting my school in April). I walk July 23rd and then we are leaving Rexburg forever (please don't say I jinxed us by saying forever). Huzzah!

Where dreams come true!

I'm super excited about what lies ahead; I honestly can't wait. We spent our first anniversary in Las Vegas and we loved it. July is probably a terrible time to move to the desert, but I'd rather fry in Vegas indefinitely than freeze in Rexburg for one more winter. Honestly I never ever thought of myself living in Vegas, my first choice was actually Mesa and I was not stoked initially, but the more I think about it, the more I love the idea. We'll see how it goes once we actually get there.

Ain't it pretty?

Today, Casey quit his soul-sucking job of fixing computers remotely (yay!) and will now be moving on to bigger, better things. This week our wallet-sucking contract with Verizon ends and we will be moving to Virgin, where we will have brand-spankin' new phones (of course I'm getting a new iPhone! It's already ordered: a white 4S) and save approximately $95 a month. We paid off a massive chunk of Casey's student loans last month and now we will finish paying them off entirely before we leave the 'Burg. Huzzah again!

I'm always trying out new things here and there, recipes, talents, adventures, etc. I made my first arepas, I slammed my first two poems, and I dyed my hair black. My jobs are going super well and I love-hate terrible spellings when I grade papers (honestly, prophicide? I mean, c'mon, that's terrible and hilarious). Here's to a mere 126 days standing between myself and graduation.

Black hairs!

My high-stakes tests are all behind me, Casey's bad job is behind him, and our future is looking brighter than the Bellagio fountain on a dark night.

    1. Thanks Megan! I hope we're not jinxed too, but on the bright side there's nothing to move back for, right? I find it highly unlikely that we come back ever.
